                To take advantage of this social proof phenomenon you need to consistently give your readers something worth sharing.  This usually comes in the form of high quality content on your blog.  Think about your readers and the problems they face – then solve those problems!  Give them easy to digest tips and strategies relevant to whatever industry you’re in. 

                Once you’ve created this great content, ask for the share!  Ask your readers to share this content with your friends if they found it useful.  Install plug-ins on your site like ShareThis, AddtoAny or AddThis to make sharing your content as easy as possible.  Along with inviting others to share your content, you can ask them to become fans of your social media profiles as well.  With a steady stream of great content you can build a strong sense of social proof around your brand.

The Fail Proof Strategy for Success

                There are a couple things that can really boost your social media exposure and I will share them with you now.  It starts with creating an irresistible product of some kind that can be delivered electronically.  You can create a valuable report, informative ebook, offer a significant coupon, something that you would be okay giving away for free.  Be sure to make it enticing!

                Now, offer it through your website for a price.  Not for money though – for the price of a Tweet or Facebook share.  This can be accomplished easily with some online services that have popped up recently.  My favorites are PayWithATweet and CloudFlood. 

                They work like this:  when a visitor sees the undeniably irresistible offer you have for them, they’ll be dying to know how to get one for themselves.  They’ll see it only requires a simple social media share – no problem!  They post about your product and in return get to download it.  And you get to reap the benefits of instant exposure (along with a personal recommendation) to that person’s entire social network.  Not too shabby, eh?
